Advice for community groups, organisations and volunteer networks fighting Covid-19
In towns and villages across Scotland, communities are fighting COVID 19. These pages provide advice on how to virus proof the fantastic things you are doing and reduce the risk of indirect spread. Please read them carefully if you are starting to provide support or reviewing what you are doing already.

This advice has been produced by Scottish Community Development Centre (SCDC) and Public Health Scotland. It's based on the best available knowledge and will be updated regularly as other information becomes available.
We have written it for those without medical or scientific knowledge. It covers things like: promoting your service; making sure volunteers are safe and fit to provide services; getting help with complex care needs; keeping things you collect and deliver as free from the virus as possible and cooking and transporting hot meals. The resource now also includes more advice on restarting services safely There is advice on how to reduce the risk as far as possible while still helping people. Please read these sections carefully if you are starting to provide support, or reviewing what you are doing already.
